Led by the state chairman and General Overseer of the Praise Centre International, Bishop Stanfford Nworgu, the protesters headed to the Government House, Owerri, where they were received by the Deputy Governor, Eze Madumere, on behalf of the governor, Rochas Okorocha.
The protesters carried placards with inscriptions: “We reject Islamisation under any guise. Allow us to live in peace in our land. No grazing Bill’ among others.
Nworgu said the protest was aftermath of the southeast meeting of the body recently held in Enugu, in which 11 -point resolutions were arrived at.
